This past weekend I went to Colorado for the first time to attend a wedding. It was almost surreal driving along the road and seeing enormous mountains everywhere. It’s been about a year since I’ve done any traveling to new places and it really made me want to start again. So in an effort to keep my explorer’s spirit alive and well I designed this “Explore” piece and even made decals of it which are available on my store. I put a decal of it on my car to remind myself to take more road trips and not waste the weekends sitting around at home.
This was a really fun piece to do. 50% of each sale of this print will be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation. You can pick one up in my store.
Some lettering I did this Saturday afternoon.
Last month I was hired by Ten Tree to create a t-shirt design for Earth Month. They wanted the phrase “We are the change” along with some earthy/floral accents, which is right up my alley. Ten Tree is an apparel brand that plants 10 trees for every purchase made, and you can even track where you’re trees are planted! I was really happy with how the design came out on the shirts.
My band, Growing Up a Ghost, just released our first EP entitled “Do Something”. I was really excited to be able to create my own album art and it’s definitely one of the largest hand drawn pieces I’ve done. It took around a week and a half to finalize the sketch, and then it took a few additional days to nail down the colors and final touches. I’m really happy with how the final design and the songs came out, so if you remotely like math rock/pop punk then you may enjoy it. Take a listen at www.growingupaghost.bandcamp.com and let me know what you think!
My second screen print of a design I did a few months ago. These are available in my store for only $10.
Earlier this week I finally screen printed one of my own designs. I’m really happy with how they came out so I put a handful of them up in my store at moeglydesign.com/store/drive-to-the-coast-print.
Just got in these Stay Afloat tees! I drew this original illustration with a dip pen a few months ago. They are screen printed on American Apparel Tri-Blend shirts. Check them out in my store.
